Is this a Piece of James Dean's Lost Porsche?

Picture
A collector has recently issued a news release claiming he's discovered in rural Massachusetts the transaxle from actor James Dean's ill-fated Porsche, in which he died in a 1955 crash.  You can read the news release here and view photos below, courtesy of Don Ahearn.

Muscle Car Heaven in South Carolina

Whenever we travel, we, of course, scout out the nearest car museum for a quick automotive fix.  Not long ago, we found the Wheels of Yesteryear museum in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  It should be called "Muscle Car Heaven" because it's crammed with high-horsepower vintage Mopars, Fords, GM models and other vehicles of interest.

While you're there, you may run across the owner, Paul Cummings, who will express his gratitude for your presence with some real down-home warmth.  (It's no wonder the building is situated on Hospitality Lane.)

Paul, we express our gratitude to you for your knowledge of muscle cars and your willingness to share your terrific 50+ vehicle collection with the rest of us. Here's a sneak preview:
