Euro-spec Stinger GT (Photo: Kia Motors) After the launch last year of Hyundai's Genesis G90, a better-looking clone of a Mercedes S-Class, it was inevitable that the Koreans would open up their next front against the European sports sedans. And so, the all-new 2018 Kia Stinger was launched recently at Detroit's North American International Auto Show. It's a five-passenger fastback sports sedan, which, according to the company, is "poised to redefine a segment currently populated by European automakers" and "promises to be the highest-performance production vehicle in the company’s history. " With multiple engine (255 horsepower turbo four or 365 horsepower twin-turbo V-6) and drivetrain configurations, not to mention luxury interiors, the Stinger is planned to go on sale in the U.S. late this year. Pricing will be announced closer to the vehicle’s launch date.
